Exotic Fruit Oatmeal

Oatmeal bowls are a very popular breakfast choice all year long. And it's no surprise considering they're filling, healthy, warm, and delicious. Oatmeal bowls are a regular in our household since our mornings are very busy and a 5 minute breakfast is usually all we have time for.

The versatility of oatmeal is one of its biggest advantages. Oatmeal with frozen fruits, such as berries, is a great way to save time and money. On more relaxed days or weekends, you can upgrade your usual oatmeal bowl to something more special, such as our exotic fruit oatmeal bowl!

As the name suggests, this oatmeal recipe contains lots of fruits, including a few exotic ones, like fig and passion fruit. When we started to develop this recipe, it was clear to us that we didn't want a standard ordinary bowl of oatmeal topped with banana slices.

We wanted something more flavourful and out of the ordinary, and this recipe is exactly that!

While we wanted our oatmeal bowl to have a wealth of flavour, this recipe can be a bit on the expensive side because of all the fresh fruit (of course, depending on where you are located in the world). Feel free to substitute fresh berries with frozen ones or with local fruits of choice. Either way, enjoy these rich flavours and we promise that this oatmeal recipe will be an exotic experience!


Oats (1/2 cup)

Almond milk (1 cup)

Flax seeds (1 tsp)

Pumpkin seeds (1 tsp)




Fig (1)

Passion fruit (1)

Banana (1/2)

Chopped pecans

Chocolate shavings


1. Cook the oats according to package instructions.

2. Afterwards, add flax and pumpkin seeds and mix to combine.

3. Top the bowl with passion fruit and other chopped fruits.

4. Garnish with chocolate shavings and peanut butter.
